Former President John Mahama has called for an end to the "militarization" of elections, where armed security forces are stationed at polling and coalition centers.
Speaking at the 2024 Peace Campaign launch organized by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, he warned that this practice could lead to chaos.
Mahama pledged the NDC's commitment to peace and announced plans to propose expanding the Peace Pact to include more stakeholders, aiming to make it a meaningful commitment.
He urged the Electoral Commission and Judiciary to act impartially, stressing that justice is essential for peace in the December polls.
