The Minority in Parliament has thrown its support behind the 'Hands Off Our Hotels' demonstration, condemning the sale of SSNIT's profitable hotels to Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong as cronyism and corruption.
The Minority argued that this transaction undermined the interests of Ghanaians, particularly pensioners, and reflected a troubling trend of state capture and official corruption.
They urged the public to join the demonstration on June 18, 2024, to demand accountability and transparency in the management of state assets.
The protest aims to stop the privatization of six iconic hotels, including Labadi Beach Hotel and La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.
