The Minority in Parliament has boycotted the vetting of Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, the new Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, citing the government's poor economic performance and large size.
In a statement, the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, highlighted the country's economic challenges, including food insecurity, debt default, corruption, and wasteful expenditures.
The Minority refused to participate in the vetting, stating that it would further burden the struggling Ghanaian populace.
They criticized President Akufo-Addo's continued appointment of ministers, demonstrating a lack of understanding of the economic turmoil caused by his administration's policies.
