The Minority in Ghana plans to demonstrate against the Bank of Ghana (BoG), demanding the resignation of Governor Dr. Ernest Addison, his deputies, and the dissolution of its board.
This follows BoG's historic GH₵60 billion loss in 2022 and the decision to construct a new $250 million head office, which has angered the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Led by MP Mahama Ayariga, the Minority accuses BoG of mismanagement and corruption in the head office procurement process.
Ayariga argues that the existing Cedi House is adequate, and the justification for the new building is unfounded. The protest is scheduled for July 30.
