My abhorrence of nonsense makes me unfit for gov't appointment – Ken Agyapong

Outspoken politician and lawmaker for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has reiterated his dislike for any government appointment on the basis that he may spew out "nonsense" if he is provoked.

According to the businessman, he is one person who cannot stomach certain things and, therefore, will always be in the news because journalists will take offense in his posture on certain things.

In defense of his darling boy who is the Director General at the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), Kennedy Agyapong promised to go after any journalist who tries to run him down insisting the man did no wrong in whatever has been put out in the public domain.

In his usual way of attacking issues, the lawmaker was noted that the fact persons agreed to work for the government was not indicative of the fact anyone from anywhere especially journalists can run them down.

“The fact he has accepted an appointment from the government does not mean he is a cleaner at someone’s house. That is why I do not want an appointment in government because I will speak nonsense …That is the truth,” he disclosed on Accra-based Asempa Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Asked to be a bit decorous in his choice of words on live radio by host Osei Bonsu he rather felt embolden and stated, “What nonsense is that you always sit and spew out. That is how you journalists are. When I look at the people and their personality trying to rubbish me, I will give you nonsense back”.

He vowed that it would be over his dead body that journalists will run down Mr Kwame Owusu he indicates is doing quite well at the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA) adding that with or without his current post he will survive.
