The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) is calling for the removal of Dr. Haggar Hilda Ampadu, Executive Director of the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NASIA), citing failure to collaborate with teacher unions and sidelining trained Ghana Education Service teachers during school inspections.
NAGRAT President Angel Carbonu criticizes the lack of quarterly inspection reports and questions the appropriateness of NASIA's fee collection role.
He urges the government to replace Dr. Ampadu with a more competent leader, noting that despite reaching out for six years, there have been no meetings between NASIA and teacher representatives.
