Mr Felix Mensah Nii Annang-La, President of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana(NALAG) has received tonnes of praises for his sterling performance.

He has also been praised for his unique influence to the leadership of NALAG with its concomitant results.

“It is no secret for instance that, today Assemblymen and women across the length and breadth of the country have better mobility because of motor bicycles that our abled leader has acquired for us,” Eric Kojo Twumasi, Assembly Member for Harbour Electoral Area, Tema, told journalists at a News conference.

According to him, “the alacrity with which our leader came to our assistance when we requested for the motorcycles, has greatly impressed us and this has positioned us to look forward to more resourcefulness from him in future.”

The News conference, which came off in Accra was attended mainly by Assembly members from the Greater Accra Region and few others from the other regions.

It was originally held to thank President Akufo-Addo for listening to the request for the motorcycles for Assembly members across the country, but ended up being a platform for praising the sense of industry of the NALAG President.

According to Charles Kobina Amos, the Assembly Member for the Padmor Electoral area, Felix Mensah Annang-La, “made it his personal responsibility to get the Government to make the supplies happen.

“Colleagues from across the length and breadth of the country are full of praise because of these new motorbikes, and we cannot help, but to thank our NALAG President also, even as we thank President Akufo-Addo for the bikes.”

He said colleagues from across the country had since been calling and expressing delight about the new motorbikes, which, would help them a lot with mobility, especially in the rural areas.

Meanwhile, there seemed to be an unspoken consensus among the Assembly Members at the News conference to retain Mr Felix Mensah Annang-La as President in the upcoming NALAG election.

NALAG goes to the polls on the 12th of June and the incumbent President is being challenged by some two candidates who are said to be rather low profile.

Already, the Tema MCE’s campaign message is being hailed as progressive for NALAG, with many Assembly members said to be calling his team with assurance that he would be retained.
