The District Chief Executive of Ningo-Prampram, Jonathan Teye Doku says he is determined to put the district in the news for the right reasons during election procedures.

There is a heavy security presence at the St. Joseph’s Anglican Primary School at Ningo-Prampram.
The Ningo Divisional Police commander, ACP Dodzie disclosed that there is a total of 100 policemen with the exception of the military.
Jonathan Teye explaining the reason for the number said that the constituency is known to be a flashpoint with records of chaos during elections.
“This is a national election so it doesn’t matter whether you are NDC or NPP especially when you are DCE. So we decided we are getting national men that is the police and military to support. We work on intel and if we do not get something to support then we will be at a lose.” He indicated.
He added that stakeholders, including himself, had a meeting to decide on the number of security men to deploy to the area.
He maintained, however, that none of the candidates requested for the deployment of security personnel.
To him, the number of security personnel does not intimidate voters.
“I’m sure if you allow sloppy things and chaos to happen, that is going to take the headlines and we do not want that to happen. At least if Ningo-Prapram is in the news, it should be in the news for the good reasons and not the bad.” He said.
