Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Tarkwa-Nusaem Constituency in the Western Region, Seth Kwame Dzokoto has stated that the party is not fair to former President John Dramani Mahama.

In an exclusive interview he granted MyNewsGh.com, he observed that it was needless heaping blames on the former President for the party’s 2016 defeat as well the emergence of several candidates to contest him as flagbearer.

“I think that NDC as a party is not being fair to John Mahama fair because we gave him an opportunity but we were all in this country when we heard all the promises this current government gave and that we should also not fault the people of Ghana”, he revealed.

He observed that there was the need for Ghanaians to have been sensitized that the lofty promises were too sweet to be true which has been manifested in current happenings in the country.

“When you push all the load on John Mahama and that he should carry all of because he was leading… and that if he had campaigned well the people will not have believed what NPP was saying I disagree. He did his best for the people to feel. He had so many things to show but now it is glaring that Ghanaians fell for lofty promises turning out to be a deceit”, he observed.

The Radio personality and actor, expressed hope that Ghanaians will revert to Mahama in 2020 because he was modest and truthful to Ghanaians with his promises compared to those made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Kwame Dzokoto is of the view that Mahama is more popular than the other candidates and needs another chance because the situation in 2016 did not work in his favour but certain he will shine in 2020.

“It was ordained by God for Ghanaians to give Nana Addo a chance to expose the falsehood by his administration for them to miss and return to their former wife (Mahama) who was truthful and modes in his promises”, he concluded.
