The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has used unprintable words to describe the conduct of the Director General of the Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah following the invitation of Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, NDC national chairman.
“Whoever wrote that invitation letter has no sense”, Deputy National Communication Officer of NDC, Anthony Kwaku Boahen spoke during a telephone on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com’s reporters.
According to Mr. Kwaku Boahen, if the CID boss has sense of combating crimes in the country, the likes of Rev. Owusu Bempah and other communicators of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) would have been picked for investigations.
The outspoken communicator also reiterated the party’s position Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo ready standing trials for will not honour police’s invitation.
The letter from the police inviting the NDC National Chairman stated that “some persons picked up for interrogation and investigation have mentioned your name as part of a grand scheme designed to cause fear and panic in the country”.
Responding to this invitation in a Facebook post, the National Organizer of the NDC described as useless, the invitation from the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.
He said “Useless invitations from Robotic, Confused and Political Police won’t be entertained.”
Joshua Akamba further suggested that but for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Director-General of CID Madam Tiwaa Addo Danquah should have been arrested over her earlier comments indicating that the kidnapped Takoradi girls had been found and were being kept safely.
