The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its Central Regional Chairman, Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, and Assin Central Constituency Secretary, Sadique Broni Yeboah, for a month over alleged anti-party conduct.
This followed a meeting with national executives and Assin Central executives regarding the withdrawal of Nurein Shiabu Migyimah as parliamentary candidate due to allegations of immoral behavior and anti-party activities.
However, the NDC General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, has declared the withdrawal letter null and void, and Migyimah remains the party's candidate for the upcoming general elections.
The Regional FEC had initially suspended Migyimah for six months pending review.
