NHIA and NIA to issue Ghana cards for children under 15 years

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) and National Identification Authority (NIA) have partnered to register children under 15 for Ghana cards, providing access to healthcare and official identification.

The joint registration drive, starting June 10, will set up centers in schools nationwide.

This initiative is aimed to improve healthcare access and participation in socio-economic activities for the youth, contributing to a more inclusive society.

The partnership streamlines administrative processes, broadening social services and emphasizing universal healthcare coverage and identity recognition for Ghanaian youth.
