The National Identification Authority (NIA) Division of the Public Services Workers Union, Trades Union Congress (TUC) Ghana, has petitioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to remove Prof. Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah as the Executive Secretary of the NIA.
The petition, dated July 1 and signed by 920 staff members, cites unfair labor practices, violations of SSNIT law, poor corporate governance, and administrative injustices in recruitment and promotions as reasons for the request.
The division expressed concerns about potential harm and reputational damage to the NIA if Prof. Attafuah remains in office and believes his removal would restore staff confidence and the authority's reputation.
