NIA suspends strike

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has suspended its indefinite strike, pending negotiations with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) on Friday, June 14.

The decision comes after interventions from stakeholders, including the National Security Minister and the National Labour Commission.

The NIA union expects a positive outcome, warning that failure to meet their demands may lead to resumed industrial action.

Members are urged to report to work on Thursday, June 13, and perform their duties professionally.
