The National Identification Authority (NIA) will begin registering minors aged 6 to 14 for the Ghana Card on October 7, 2024.
This initiative aims to enhance the national identification system by including children in the database.
The first phase will occur in schools across selected districts, making it easier for parents to register their children.
Alfred Gazari, Deputy Director of Operations at the NIA, emphasized the importance of this registration in achieving comprehensive identification for all Ghanaians, highlighting that the card is essential for accessing various services.
