NPP only knows how to unveil statues without completing projects – Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the NDC's flagbearer, has criticized President Akufo-Addo for unveiling a statue in his honor despite his administration's failure to complete key developmental projects.

Speaking at a rally in Ajofua, Bia West constituency, Mahama accused the NPP government of prioritizing high-profile events like statue unveilings over impactful projects that improve the lives of Ghanaians.

This comes amid controversy surrounding a statue dedicated to Akufo-Addo at Effia-Nkwanta roundabout in Takoradi.

Mahama dismissed the statue as a symbol of self-praise, stating that such honors should come from the people after leaving office based on actual achievements. He quipped that if statues were a reward for service, he would have many across the country.
