Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Finance Minister, has apologized to Ghanaians for the hardships caused by the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP).
Following advice from MPs Kennedy Agyapong and Kwaku Kwarteng, he acknowledged past and present failures.
At a town hall meeting, he explained that the DDEP, a requirement by the IMF, was crucial for economic recovery.
Despite the challenges, he thanked Ghanaians for their support, emphasizing the government's intention to ease burdens and highlighting the positive impact on the economy.
