Members of pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group in the Ashanti Region, the Delta Force are worried they risked their lives to ensure the party won the 2016 elections but have been left to their fate because of certificates.

According to them, two years after they sacrificed to see the party come to power they are still jobless with no hope of when they will be employed despite the critical role they played in election 2016.

More worrying according to, Francis Akwasi Asante who is Chairman of the group is the fact one Mohammed who was their leader has been sidelined the main reason their operations in the region has slowed down.

He disclosed on Accra-based Adom Fm that they are prepared to work anywhere if the leadership of the NPP offer them the opportunity but was quick to add that no such opportunity ever came wondering what is their crime for supporting a party they were hopeful will better their lives.

“We are pained we are still jobless. Mr. Mohammed who is even our leader is still unemployed. Majority of us are still home and still not gotten any employment from government. I for instance I am home though I am prepared to do anything. I have JSS certificate and if I am asked to go and sweep the party office daily to earn something I will readily oblige. Employment opportunities under the NPP is just qualifications and we do not have them”, he disclosed in the interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

According to him, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as ‘chairman wontumi’ has failed to live up to his promise of getting them jobs.

He continued that “I know qualifications count when it comes to employment but we still hoping for the best and ready to fight for our party” adding their motivation to work for the victory of the party stemmed from how the fact resources of the country were badly mismanaged by the erstwhile NDC led by former president John Mahama”
