NPP suspends two Walewale constituency executives over misconduct

Two NPP executives in Walewale, North-East Region, have been suspended for misconduct, along with a party member.

They must hand over any party materials as investigations continue.

This suspension follows a High Court ruling that voided the Walewale constituency primary due to irregularities like over-voting and impersonation.

In response, the NPP has scheduled a re-run of the primary, with nominations from September 3 to 5, and the election set for September 8, 2024.
