The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has raised concerns about the growing number of widows due to road accidents involving men.
Recent data shows that men accounted for 79% of road deaths between January and July 2024, while women made up 21%.
At the launch of a Road Safety Code for political activities, NRSA's Daniel Wuaku urged women to advocate for road safety, noting that they are often left to deal with the loss of loved ones.
Wuaku emphasized the need for women to support efforts to reduce road fatalities.
