Nana Akomea denies selling STC property to Stadium Hotel

Nana Akomea, Managing Director (MD) of Intercity STC, has rejected claims that he sold STC property to the Stadium Hotel in Kumasi.

In a Facebook post on November 17, 2024, Akomea clarified that the Stadium Hotel is not owned by STC and explained that the letter circulating in connection with the allegations refers to a tenancy agreement, not a property sale.

He emphasized that no MD of a state-owned company has the authority to sell company property and that the agreement, which was approved by STC’s management and board, has brought significant financial benefits to the company.

Akomea also expressed disappointment that those spreading the rumors hadn’t properly read the letter, which he said is a brief, clear document.
