Nana Oye’s $1.5m suit: Tony Lithur enters an appearance, seeks order to dismiss action

Tony Lithur, a legal practitioner, has challenged a $1.5 million libel suit filed by his ex-wife, Nana Oye Bampoe.

His notice of appearance seeks dismissal of the claim, citing lack of reasonable cause of action and abuse of court process.

Nana Oye alleges her reputation was tarnished in divorce proceedings initiated by Lithur.

She demands general and exemplary damages, a perpetual injunction, and a public apology.

The couple, married since 1991, is embroiled in a divorce case. Lithur’s motion is scheduled for May 27, 2024, following Nana Oye's defamation allegations against him in court.
