National Peace Council urges NDC to embrace dialogue

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is raising concerns about Ghana’s 2024 elections, citing issues with the Electoral Commission (EC) and unresolved violence from the 2020 elections.

They argue that signing a peace pact alone won't ensure peace without addressing justice.

Ahead of an IPAC meeting, ECOWAS and the National Peace Council are mediating to resolve these issues.

UN Resident Coordinator Charles Abani is urging all parties to agree on the peace pact to ensure a smooth election process.
