The Minority Caucus in Parliament has criticized the government for delaying the release of funds for Ghanaian students on scholarships abroad, calling it unreasonable.
Ghanaian students in Morocco protested at the Ghana Embassy in Rabat on May 24 over the delays, citing hardships and academic challenges.
Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee, Dr. Clement Apaak, has urged immediate government action to avoid further embarrassment. He referenced similar issues faced by Ghanaian students in the UK and across Europe.
Dr. Apaak promised that a new NDC government, led by John Dramani Mahama, would resolve these delays in student remittances.
