Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to focus on fulfilling Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's economic vision rather than distorting his legacy.
Speaking at an event marking Nkrumah's 115th birthday in Nkroful, Mahama emphasized that Nkrumah's once futuristic ideas are now embraced globally, particularly in Europe.
Mahama pledged that if elected in 2025, his government would restore Nkrumah’s legacy and recognize his contributions to both Ghana and Africa.
He also proposed establishing "The Journey to Nkroful" festival as a pan-African pilgrimage, honoring Nkrumah's birthplace on Ghana’s tourism calendar.
