John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for urgent healthcare reforms in Ghana, highlighting rising costs and insufficient infrastructure.
During the commissioning of a new maternity and children’s ward in Nkoranza North, Mahama reiterated his pledge for free primary healthcare and stressed the importance of accessible, affordable healthcare for all Ghanaians, especially in underserved areas.
He also announced plans for a free sanitary pad program for secondary school girls to improve attendance and health.
If elected, Mahama’s administration will prioritize these social interventions to ensure better healthcare access and support for female students.
