Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the paramount chief of Ga Marshie, has pledged his support for the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) in promoting pension coverage for the informal sector.

During a visit from NPRA CEO John Kwaning Mbroh, the chief emphasized the initiative's importance in reducing old-age poverty and encouraging a savings culture among Ghanaians.

He promised to facilitate educational sessions on pensions and engage key stakeholders in the informal sector.

Mbroh highlighted that over 76% of Ghana's workforce is informal, with only 9% having access to pensions, stressing the urgent need for improvement.
