No justification for transport fare hike – Hassan Tampuli

Deputy Transport Minister Hassan Tampuli has ruled out any increase in transport fares, saying conditions could actually support a fare reduction.

Addressing concerns from some driver unions about potential hikes, Tampuli emphasized that Ghana’s fuel prices are among the lowest worldwide, with petrol costing less than $1 per liter.

He urged unions to reconsider, noting that fare hikes would be unjustified and increase the burden on commuters already facing economic challenges.
