Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, has criticized those demanding an apology from Dela Edem for making disparaging remarks about former President John Agyekum Kufour, labeling them as hypocrites.

Speaking on Rainbow Radio, Madam Daniels clarified that while she does not condone the insults against the former president, the selective outrage is troubling.

She questioned the silence of these individuals when similar insults were directed at other leaders, including former President John Dramani Mahama, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and the IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.

“If you ignored insults hurled at others, why demand an apology now?” she said, urging Ghanaians to condemn all forms of insults in politics, irrespective of party affiliations, to foster respect and decorum in public discourse.
