OSP was created to exonerate NPP offenders – Ansa-Asare

Kwaku Ansa-Asare, former Director of the Ghana School of Law, has expressed scepticism about the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), suggesting it was established to protect NPP members rather than combat corruption.

In an interview on Citi TV, he expressed doubts about the OSP's effectiveness, citing cases like that of former Water and Sanitation Minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah, which he claimed were intended to create sensational headlines but resulted in acquittals.

Ansa-Asare argued that the OSP selectively prosecutes members of opposition parties while exonerating those of the ruling party, predicting similar behavior if the opposition gains power.
