Officer fired for smuggling Hajia4Reall's child into the UK

A UK Metropolitan Police officer, Bright Shine-Sedziafa, was dismissed for trying to smuggle a Ghanaian child into the UK.

The child’s mother, Ghanaian socialite and singer Mona Faiz Montrage, known as Hajia4Reall, was extradited to the U.S. in 2023 and sentenced to one year in jail for fraud.

Shine-Sedziafa was accused of coordinating the child’s travel using falsified documents, despite knowing the mother’s legal troubles.

The police misconduct hearing found him guilty of gross misconduct, highlighting his “reckless disregard” for the child’s safety. He has since been dismissed from his role in the Metropolitan Police.
