In his latest exposé, North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed a $34.9 million ambulance procurement deal under the Akufo-Addo administration, labeling it a shady transaction.
Ablakwa alleged that the deal, facilitated by former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and former Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, involved Service Ghana Auto Group Limited, incorporated in April 2020.
He criticized the lack of competitive procurement and claimed the cost for spare parts per ambulance was exorbitant, exceeding the price of new ambulances.
Ablakwa intends to petition the Special Prosecutor to investigate this alleged financial misconduct.
