Popular radio/TV host Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady has been asking questions as to why Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been linked to the kidnapping and fire cases in the country.
She, however, did not immediately indicate that the NDC chairman is innocent, neither did she suggest that the police are wrong but it obvious the Multimedia journalist is not enthused with the CID's action.
In a post on Facebook to comment on the issue, the Adom FM firebrand said "Ghana politics is confusing".
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service extended an invitation to Mr. Ofosu Ampofo over the recent kidnappings and fire incidents in the country.
A letter from the CID said Mr. Ofosu Ampofo had been mentioned as being part of a grand scheme to cause fear and panic in the country.
However, Mr. Ampofo’s lawyers in a letter said the invitation is simply “an attempt to pass the buck and shift the blame over the increasing inability of the security agencies to manage and control the failures of security and the governance structures as a whole.”
