Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, NDC Chairman
The USA Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the arrest of the party’s Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo as continued attempts of intimidation by state agencies.

Intimidation of Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo
The NDC USA continues to observe with a lot of alarm continued attempts of intimidation by “supposed state agencies,” of our National Chairman. Press reports on Tuesday indicating that the National Chairman Honorable Samuel Ofosu Ampofo tendered himself in to the Police following an invitation and a subsequent arrest warrant, are deeply worrying. More worrying is the fact that, his home was searched soon after and then was later granted bail. Again, we strongly believe that, this is a well-orchestrated attempt to destabilize the front of the great National Democratic Congress.
By submitting himself to the police, Honorable Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo has demonstrated once again that, he is a law-abiding citizen who can be trusted to assist neutral State agencies' investigations for the greater good. That said, the Honorable Chairman would not succumb to naked acts of intimidation designed to distract him from discharging his duties. He is unyielding and remains focused on presenting suffering Ghanaians with the best alternative to the status quo, come 2020 and beyond.
We the NDC in the USA and throughout the diaspora are solidly behind our National Chairman and warn that, should these acts of intimidation persist, we will have no options left but to defend our party and National Chairman with all the resources available at our disposal.
Moving forward, we urge the Ghana Police and the CID especially, headed by Madam Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, to concentrate on their sworn duties and desist from any attempts to be used as a proxy for serving a failed government’s parochial interests.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind our teeming supporters who are clearly worried, to remain calm and committed as they have been through the period with the strong conviction that, we will see this through in the shortest possible time.
NDC…. Eye Zu Eye Za
NDC….. Stability, Probity, Accountability
Signed.
Vivian Maame Aba Dadzie
Chairman NDC USA.
