Omane Boamah accuses NPP of election manipulation plans ahead of special voting

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of Elections, has claimed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) intends to manipulate the December 2, 2024, special voting process.

Speaking in Otoase during a tour of the Eastern Region, he urged citizens to stay alert and support security forces in safeguarding a fair election.

Boamah emphasized that the NDC would work with security agencies to ensure transparency, particularly in the special voting involving police, journalists, and Electoral Commission staff.

He also assured the youth that an NDC government under John Mahama would abolish the E-levy, COVID tax, and other levies, shifting Ghana from "taxation to production."
