Omane Boamah criticizes EC over “illegal” recruitment of Constituency Collation Officers

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of Elections and IT, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has condemned the Electoral Commission (EC) for recruiting Constituency Collation Officers, calling the action illegal.

In a statement on November 9, 2024, Dr. Boamah argued that electoral laws designate Constituency Returning Officers for results collation, making the EC's recruitment redundant and a violation of legal procedures.
