One person arrested at Odododiodoo for allegedly stealing ballot sheets

One person has been arrested in the Odododiodoo constituency in connection with the alleged stealing of ballot papers meant for the presidential and parliamentary elections specifically at the Sakumo Tsonshi polling station in the Greater Accra region.

According to reports filed by Wallace Worlanyo, the ballot papers retrieved were in one hundreds with other thump printed ones which are yet to be retrieved.

One other person is currently on the run and is believed to be the one who allegedly stole the ballot sheets meant for the polls.

Tension he indicated is currently building up in the constituency and that, it will be important for a backup from the police service to prevent any unforeseen incidents.

The supporters of the arrested suspect he added are demanding for his release. Speaking to Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the NDC chairman for the constituency said they had a tip off that an NPP member was thump printing ballots in his room and upon investigation, they caught him but he was able to escape arrest.

The incumbent MP who doubles as the Sports Minister is on his way to the constituency.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. John Kudalor earlier toured the area to monitor the polls.
