Opoku-Agyemang calls out Akufo-Addo for priotizing statue over welfare of Ghanaians

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the recent erection of a statue of President Akufo-Addo in Takoradi, citing the ongoing economic struggles faced by Ghanaians.

She argued that, amid rising costs under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, the statue was an unnecessary expense.

During her campaign tour in the North East Region, she emphasized the NDC's commitment to tackling economic hardships, particularly for women, and addressing youth unemployment.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang outlined the party's policies, including the 24-Hour Economy, infrastructure development, and women’s empowerment initiatives.

She urged voters to support NDC’s candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the December 7 elections for a change in leadership.
