Opoku Prempeh performed better at Education Ministry than Energy – Dr. Asah-Asante

Dr. Kwame Asah-Asante, a Senior Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana, believes Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh performed better as Education Minister than in his current role as Energy Minister.

Dr. Asah-Asante highlighted Prempeh’s achievements, particularly the implementation of the Free SHS policy despite its challenges.

However, he criticized Prempeh’s handling of persistent power supply issues, commonly referred to as "dumsor," in his role as Energy Minister.

This assessment follows a National Investigation Bureau survey indicating Prempeh's strong support among party members as a potential running mate to NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
