The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has urged its members to continue full services amid a nationwide strike planned by Organised Labour starting October 10, 2024.
GMA President Dr. Frank Serebour emphasized that the association has not declared any industrial action.
While supporting Organised Labour's campaign against illegal mining (galamsey), the GMA will not participate in the strike.
The government is surprised by the strike decision and plans to revoke regulations on mining in forest reserves, reinforcing its commitment to combating illegal mining and protecting the environment.
