Organised Labour has announced an industrial strike starting Monday, July 15, to protest the sale of a 60% stake in four SSNIT-owned hotels to Rock City Hotel, owned by Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong.

This decision follows the National Pensions Regulatory Commission's (NPRA) reversal of an earlier suspension, allowing SSNIT to proceed with the sale.

The reversal was revealed by Pensions Minister Ignatius Baffour Awuah on July 11.

TUC Secretary General Dr. Yaw Baah urged all workers to abstain from work until the deal is terminated, claiming it is not in the best interest of the country.
