The Paramount Chief of the Osu Traditional Area, Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV the Dzaase, the Dowuona We Royal Family of the Osu Traditional Area, and the funeral planning committee wishes to thank all indigenes and well-wishers who supported the traditional area under the leadership of Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV, for the successful organization of the final funeral and burial rites of the late Paramount Chief of Osu, H.R.M. DF. Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI.

We are also grateful to the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, the First Lady, H. E. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo, and Hon. Adjei Tawiah, Municipal Chief Executive for their support towards the funeral.

Prior to the funeral, we were briefed by security intelligence about plans by a few disgruntled individuals to cause mayhem and disrupt the funeral after their failure to cause its postponement. As a result of the Intelligence information gathered and based on advice from National Security officials, the lawfully and fully installed Paramount Chief of Osu, Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV decided to stay back and lead, in the interest of peace and to forestall attempts to dishonor the memory of the late Paramount Chief of Osu, H.R.M DF. Nii Kinka
Dowuona VI.

The lawfully recognized kingmakers of the Osu Traditional Area wish to reiterate that Osu has a Paramount Chief in the person of Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV, who has undergone all the necessary rites for his enstoolment and has ascended the paramountcy.

We wish to caution individuals, groups, or organizations planning to cause violence and confusion to desist from that as they would be severely dealt with according to our traditional laws and customs and also by the security agencies.

We, finally, urge all indigenes to come together and unite to develop Osu.

Signed:
Nii Saban Atsen VII
