The Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has defended the Akufo-Addo administration's road development record against former President Mahama's criticism.
He stated that between 2017 and 2023, the government constructed 12,830 km of roads, significantly more than the 4,636 km built by the previous administration.
Ghana's road density is nearly double the African average, with 63% of the population living near all-weather roads.
Asenso-Boakye highlighted ongoing and completed projects, including major roads and bridges, and announced a national road network inventory projecting a total of 100,000 km by year-end.
