Certified Crime Analyst Ransford Nana Addo Jnr has criticized Ghana's criminal justice system, describing it as ineffective in deterring crime.
Speaking on Joy FM’s SMS after two youths were convicted for a ritual murder in Kasoa, he argued that, had the offenders escaped, society might have celebrated any material gains from their crime.
Addo Jnr expressed concern that wealth accumulated by young people often goes unquestioned, calling for laws on "unexplained wealth."
He criticized the outdated Criminal Offences Act of 1960, suggesting it fails to address how some young people acquire wealth through suspicious means.
