Ghana's Parliament has formed several key committees, appointing Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, as Chair of the Assurance Committee.
This committee ensures government promises to Parliament and the public are fulfilled, holding the executive accountable and promoting transparency.
Patricia Appiagyei, MP for Asokwa, will chair both the Ethics and Standards Committee and the Ways and Means Committee. The Ethics Committee oversees MPs' conduct, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and maintaining the legislative body's dignity.
Additionally, Parliament has constituted the Economy and Development Committee and the Backbenchers Committee to enhance parliamentary proceedings' integrity and efficiency.
