Parliament passes National Service Authority bill

Parliament has passed the National Service Authority Bill 2024, establishing the National Service Authority to mobilize and post individuals for national service in areas critical to national development and employability.

This bill grants the authority legal capacity to develop and implement national service policies and programs.

The Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Osei Assibey Antwi, expressed his delight, emphasizing the bill's potential to guide youth towards employment and entrepreneurship.

The bill allows the authority to generate internal funds, reducing reliance on the central government and enhancing job creation for the youth.
