The Accra Central District Court has confirmed receipt of the final autopsy report from the pathologist who performed the post-mortem on the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North Constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.

Although the court did not disclose when the report was submitted, it acknowledged receipt of the sealed document.

Dr. Lawrence Edusei, however, did not appear in court defying the summons handed him on Friday, February 9.

The court couldn’t tell why the pathologist failed to show up.

NPP’s Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, who was watching proceedings for the party, noted he is appalled by the conduct of Dr. Edusei.

According to him, the pathologist had consistently absented himself and once again disrespected the orders of the court.

He prayed the court to cite the pathologist for contempt.

The case has, however, been adjourned to March 15, 2018 to decide on the contempt charge.

The late Abuakwa North MP, JB as he was affectionately called, was stabbed to death on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his Shiashie residence in Accra.

Two suspects, Daniel Asiedu, 19, aka Sexy Don Don, and Vincent Bosso aka Junior Agogo, are before the court for allegedly perpetrating the crime.
