Perennial flooding: Angry residents of Dome Parakou block main road after downpour

Residents of Dome Parakou Estate Junction blocked the road to protest the poorly constructed drainage system, which floods their homes and damages properties during rainfall.

They blamed the contractor for building a bridge that is too small and demand that it be raised like others in Alajo and Achimota.

NADMO has intensified education efforts to persuade residents to relocate due to the flood risk, but they have resisted.

The blockade caused heavy traffic, but was eventually cleared after NADMO intervention.
