Police gun down 2 suspected armed robbers on Atebubu-Yeji Highway

Police shot and killed two suspected armed robbers during a gunfight on the Atebubu-Yeji highway in Bono East on Monday.

The suspects had allegedly robbed women traders traveling from Kumasi to Yeji before engaging in a shootout with the police at Kojokrom in Pru East District.

Their bodies have been deposited at Yeji St Mathias Hospital.

Some victims sustained gunshot injuries and are receiving treatment at the same hospital.
