Security analyst Adib Saani has criticized the Ghana Police Service for charging successful candidates in the 2024 Police Recruitment Exercise GHS 980 for medical examinations, calling it exploitative and damaging to the service's reputation.
According to Saani, many of these candidates are unemployed and may struggle to afford the fee. He argued that this financial burden could lead recruits to focus on recouping the cost rather than serving genuinely.
Saani emphasized the need for the fee to be scrapped, highlighting that candidates are already making a commitment to serve the nation and shouldn't be burdened financially.
